How Times Have Changed

Here is a Poem I wrote about 5 years ago, about the 'advancement of science', as it was the topic for poetry writing in school at that time. Though I didn't participate in the contest, I gave it a shot for fun at the last instant..

Advancement of Science
Birds were the messengers,
Before ages long past,
We now use yahoo messengers,
And do chat very fast.

Horses were used for transport,
Before ages long past,
We now have the airport,
And travel very fast.

Swords were used for fight,
Before ages long past,
We now brawl with flight,
And do destroy very fast.

Men were employed for work,
Before ages long past,
We are now eating pork,
And machines work very fast.

Eyes were used to make love,
Before ages long past,
We use internet webs now,
And make match very fast.

        The growth is going unabated,
        The end is surely undated,
Is it making good or bad?
        Its answer, God only had.

Signing off, Randy Alstone!
