Moon or Star

The Poem I wrote today.

Moon or Star

There was a Moon and a Star,
Nothing else,
When I looked up at the Sky.

Wonder blossomed in my heart,
Instantly,
At that marvel of an occurrence.

I started to ponder on its significance,
If any,
Whether God had intended a message for me.

"Aim for the Star", was the message,
Probably,
"Or settle for the Moon".

Dream

I wrote this poem, about two months back, explaining the reality of the situation at that time, coupled with some imagination.

Dream

I was on cloud nine,
Having been selected,
Agra it was, ITC.

I was hopeful and fine,
Games have started,
She arrived, I see.

She shook hands in line,
Heart rate elevated,
Then, I couldn't see.

I felt soaked in rain,
All neurons erected,
It was bliss, you see.

In the end, it was not my day,
But, yet, she made my day.

The Queen, A Walking Taj, A Distant Dream!

Thinking Makes It So

I wrote this poem few months back, but it fits the present situation perfectly, I think.

Thinking Makes it So

Why winning is sweet,
Losing is bitter,
Not the reverse?

Why eating is sweet,
Running is bitter,
Not the reverse?

Why fun is sweet,
Work is bitter,
Not the reverse?

Why slumber is sweet,
To wake is bitter,
Not the reverse?

In all reality, Nothing is Sweet,
Nothing is Bitter, Thinking Makes it So!
When Mind is set on a worthy goal,
Everything is Sweet, Nothing is Bitter!

Love Me So

I wrote this poem at the very end of July. I was slightly sick at that time, hence it inspired my creativity to draw this poem. It's more like a song, isn't it?

Love Me So

In sickness and health,
Will you be my side
And love me so?

In victory and defeat,
Will you be my side
And love me so?

Till death do us part,
Will you be my side
And love me so?

I know you will,
I know you love me so,
I love you the same
And keep you in my soul.

Deserve

I jotted down this short poem today morning.

Deserve
You cheer me up,
When I am down.

You help me up,
When I am down and dusted.

You stay with me,
When I am turning bad.

You ride with me,
When I am losing control.

You humble me,
When I am riding high.

What did I do,
To deserve You?

Angel

A few days back someone inspired my creativity to write this short poem.

Angel

Wherever I search my heart,
You are there, in my soul!

Whenever I close my eyes,
You are there, in my mind!

Whichever time I sleep,
You are there, in my dream!

How such beauty and innocence
Combined to form such an Angel?

Fleeting Moment

I was travelling on train, crossing a railway station, where I saw a girl standing on the platform. But before the completion of the view, another train crossed, on the next railway track, and spoiled my attempted gaze. The following poem is the expression of that event.

Fleeting Moment

It was but a fleeting moment,
If there ever was one,
Yet the moment was bliss,
If there ever such thing.

She was still,
I was moving,
My heart turned still,
Her image kept moving.

A moment of gaze,
Well, not even that,
Still, elevated the mind,
To write this piece.

The moment has passed,
Nothing to do about,
Almost everything is lost,
Except this memory alone.

Translation of Adiye song from Kadal

I have been recently addicted to this song, hence I tried using my creative juices to translate it into English and I think I did good in doing so.

Hey Girl

You opened yourself to me,
Where did you come from?
Hey Girl, Hey Girl, Where are you leading me toward?
Hey Girl, Hey Girl, Where are you leading toward?
Where are you leading me toward?

I didn't understand the Pallanguli path,
I am coming with belief in you,
This rogue guy, like a goat kid,
Is following you around.
I didn't understand the Pallanguli path,
I am coming with belief in you,
This rogue guy, like a goat kid,
Is following you around.

Hey Girl, Hey Girl, Where are you leading me toward?
Hey Girl, Hey Girl, Where are you leading me toward?
Hey Girl, Hey Girl, Where are you leading me toward?
Hey Girl, Hey Girl, Where are you leading me toward?

You took a fish and drew them wings,
You put them over the sky,
You are teaching to fly,
Where did you come from?

Hey Girl, Hey Girl, Where are you leading me toward?
Hey Girl, Hey Girl, Where are you leading me toward?

You made your eyes into mirror,
Showing me my fear,
Clearing my dust and rust,
You are painting my heart as white.

Hey Girl, Hey Girl, Where are you leading me toward?
Hey Girl, Hey Girl, Where are you leading me toward?

From the earth to heaven,
You made a path of rainbow,
Making heart as rope,
You are pulling me.
If I leave heaven and return to earth,
When sun rises in the east again,
Will you be gone when I wake up?

Hey Girl, Hey Girl, Where are you leading me toward?
Hey Girl, Hey Girl, Where are you leading me toward?

Happy Mother's Day

A few lines, filled with truth, about Mothers.

My Mother is Merciful,
She teaches me Obedience,
She radiates with Tolerance,
She is Epitome of Humanity,
She imparts me her Experience,
So, She deserves my Respect.

Happy Mother's Day.

Love at First Sight

I wrote this poem today, about my first love.

Love at First Sight

It wasn't the first time
But in my heart it was.
I saw you walking toward,
From a distance of 19 sec,
I was teleported to heaven
And back, as mere mortal.

Your beauty, now in its prime,
To not enjoy it is pure loss.
Now, 17 years coming forward,
I yearn for your view, but no luck,
All started before age seven,
I'd travel back if there is a portal.

I loved you
And I always will,
Will I tell you?
That's a question still.

Darkness

I just wrote this short poem. Took less than 2 minutes to jot it down.

Darkness

There is no light in this world,
Only exists the illusion of it.
Darkness, all that was ever true,
Good is just a lie from devil.

Hurt and Trouble keeps you down,
People do always pound on you,
The world is never a place to live,
Just to spend time, till death arrive.

The Woman

Following is a Short Poem I wrote three years ago on Women's Day. I share this on Women's Day 2013.

The Woman
She bears the pain with greater patience, for higher purpose.
For whom does she sacrifice?
Not for herself; She is the woman!

Happy Women's Day.

First Time

Few months back, I played and lost against a woman, in the game of chess. A Poem I wrote afterwards, directed towards her.

First Time

It is the first time,
We faced on the field,
But before the starting time,
I was out of the field.

During the start,
Our hands made contact,
My brain failed to start,
My heart needs your contact.

I had an advantage in the middle,
But I didn't capitalize on it,
I glimpsed the curves in the middle,
I lost my concentration on it.

In the end,
You beat the mind of mine,
Till the end,
Will you be mine?

Am I?

A short Poem I wrote last month..

Am I?

Her Eyes are like Snakes,
Searching for the prey,
Am I the prey?

Her Innocence of a Child,
Shinning like a ray,
Am I her ray?

Shine

Few months back I was inspired by the beauty of someone, to write these lines..

The shine of full moon fades pale,
When it faces your majestic face.

New Day

Penned a new Poem today, for the occasion of New Year.

New Day

It's just a new day,
The beginning of a year,
We hope for a new way,
Let the mysteries clear.

We pray and hope for
A lovely road ahead,
Wish for a new car,
Let worries be shred.

Just another day,
But a new way,
The year unfolding,
Just for us.

Happy New Year!
